Edgee MCP
Enable Edgee MCP in your organization settings to let the CLI automatically connect your coding agent to Edgee session tools.
Edgee MCP gives your coding agent access to tools that name sessions and link repositories, pull requests, and commits to them. This helps your team connect agent usage to the work it produces.
Enable Edgee MCP
In the Edgee console, open Org settings → General and enable Edgee MCP.
With this option enabled and the member's MCP preference turned on, edgee launch automatically injects the Edgee MCP server into supported coding agents. The CLI configures authentication using your existing Edgee login and supplies the session ID. You do not need to add the server manually or create a separate MCP token.
edgee launch claude
# or
edgee launch codex
Launch a new session after changing the setting. When the organization option is disabled, automatic injection is turned off by default and members are no longer prompted to enable it during login. This setting controls CLI injection; it does not revoke access to the MCP endpoint.
What the agent can do
The session tools let the agent:
- Give the session a descriptive name.
- Associate the repository, pull requests, and commits with the session.
- Discover available models and temporarily reroute a session when those tools are enabled in the agent integration. Budget and model restrictions still apply.
The available tools depend on the agent integration and the user's permissions.
MCP endpoint
The Edgee MCP server uses Streamable HTTP at https://api.edgee.app/mcp. The CLI handles its declaration and authentication automatically when the integration is enabled.
